In fact, from one of the windows of Agra Fort one can see the beautiful Taj Mahal at a distance. Red stones were used for the construction of this fort and this is the reason why it is also called Red Fort or Lal Qila. The fort also houses some palaces whose interiors have been built using the white and red marbles. Since Emperor Akbar believed in the unity of the religions, you can also see some hints of Rajputana and Bengali architecture inside the fort.

Taj Mahal: Taj Mahal was built during the rule of the emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his favourite wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is among the Seven Wonders of the World and one of the most renowned historical monuments of the worlds. Millions of people from across the world come to visit this stunning structure every year. It has been designed using the milky white marbles and changes hues throughout the day. While in the morning it has the pinkish hue, by night under the moon it reflects golden colour.
